Lead Trainer: Marita Dortins (she/her)

Marita is a yoga student, teacher and teacher trainer based in Byron Bay, Australia. She began teaching yoga in 2002 and has been leading teacher training courses since 2014. Marita is passionate about helping yoga teachers develop their skills through continuing education and mentoring. Her teaching style promotes resilience, wellbeing and empowerment.

Marita has trained extensively and has a wide variety of teaching experience. She draws on inspiration from various styles of yoga and adapts practices to suit individual students.

She blends the ancient wisdom of yoga with modern research – Marita is knowledgeable about anatomy and is guided by current theories and evidence-based practice. One of her strengths as a teacher trainer is her ability to make complex topics accessible and applicable. She has contributed to WellBeing and Australian Yoga Life magazines.

Marita holds an Associate Degree in Health and Human Sciences, a Bachelor of Media, Master of Arts in International Communications, and Certificate IV and Training & Assessment.
